New seats for BV-206

Following a competitive tendering process, Raufoss Engineering AS, together with CHSnor in Moelv, were awarded a contract to develop and deliver new seat fittings for the Norwegian Armed Forces’ Hägglund’s BV206 tracked vehicles. The contract was awarded by the Norwegian Defence Materiel Agency (FMA). The delivery included new seats for 400 vehicles.

Raufoss Engineering had the overall responsibility for the implementation of the assignment. This included the purchase of advanced seats with military specifications, modification of the seats so they fit into the tracked vehicles, construction, dimensioning, and production of seat frames and mountings, as well as testing and approval from the FMA. Raufoss Engineering also prepared technical documentation, installation descriptions etc.

Framework agreement with the Norwegian Armed Forces

In 2016, Raufoss Engineering AS was awarded a framework agreement contract from The Norwegian Defence Estates Agency, for the delivery of interior for weapons depots. The interior is a modular, flexible stand system and is used in bases all over Norway.

Meets all requirements

The weapon storage system was developed by Raufoss Engineering through an R&D contract with the Norwegian Armed Forces’ logistics organization, Program AVA department. The system meets all product and function requirements from Program AVA.

Installation

In addition to the armory equipment’s development and production, Raufoss Engineering installs the system in the Norwegian Armed Forces bases. The feedback from The Norwegian Defence Estates Agency and from users is very good.
